What cherry angiomas are
Small, bright-red or purple spots made up of a cluster of tiny blood vessels just beneath the skin surface. They are benign and extremely common, appearing most often on the trunk and limbs from midlife onwards. They are sometimes called Campbell de Morgan spots, after the surgeon who first described them.

How ThermaVein treats a cherry angioma
Cherry angiomas are a vascular lesion, which makes them well suited to the same targeted approach used for thread veins.

Common questions
What is a cherry angioma?
A small, bright-red or purple spot made up of a cluster of tiny blood vessels, sitting just beneath the skin surface. They are benign, extremely common, and become more frequent with age. They are sometimes called Campbell de Morgan spots.
Do I need to have them checked before treatment?
Yes. Kim examines every spot before treating it. A mark that looks unusual, is new, changing, or does not fit the typical appearance of a cherry angioma is assessed further and referred on if there is any doubt.
Is treatment painful?
Most people describe a brief hot pinprick as each spot is treated. Sessions are quick, and anaesthetic is not usually needed.
Will they come back?
A treated spot does not return. Cherry angiomas are common with age, so new, unrelated ones can appear over time elsewhere on the skin.
How many can be treated at once?
Several small spots are often treated within a single 15 or 30 minute session. Kim will confirm how many at your consultation.
Is treatment available in Marbella?
