What it is
A copper-binding peptide the body already makes
GHK-Cu (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, bound to copper) occurs naturally in the body, and levels are known to fall with age. Research interest centres on its possible role in wound healing, skin repair and stimulating collagen production, most of it from laboratory studies and topical (applied-to-skin) use.
You may already see GHK-Cu listed as an ingredient in some over-the-counter cosmetic skincare — that is a different regulatory category from a prescribed or injectable form, and carries a different level of oversight and evidence behind it.
