London clinic

Medical weight management in London

Clinician-led treatment with a full assessment and a structured plan, run by video consultation with the same clinician throughout. No packages, and no advance commitment.

Your treatment

What it involves

A full clinical assessment first, then a structured plan, with Kim on hand for advice as you go and support agreed with you when it's time to come off.

The assessment covers your medical history, every medicine you take, your measurements, blood pressure and what you have tried previously. The plan is adjusted based on how you respond, and how you eventually come off is discussed with you from the outset rather than left until later.

Appointments are held by secure video consultation rather than in person. This runs in the United Kingdom only, because the medication is dispensed by a GPhC-registered UK pharmacy partner to a UK address.

Included

What you get for the fee

Stated in full, so the fee can be compared against what other London clinics include for theirs.

Nutrition, activity, behaviour and, where appropriate, medication.

Eligibility

Am I eligible?

Eligibility depends on your measurements, including BMI, your medical history, any weight-related health conditions and the medicines you take. National guidance sets thresholds for when weight management medication is appropriate, and we work within them.

The assessment is what establishes it. It takes a few minutes, and you are told either way.

  1. Assessment

45 minutes by video, covering history, medicines, measurements and blood pressure.

  2. Your plan

Structured and specific, with the full expected cost stated before you commit.

  3. Coming off

Discussed with you in advance, so it's planned rather than sudden.

Medication

Where medication fits in

Some patients are prescribed medication and some are not. That is a clinical decision made after assessment, not a product you are buying in advance.

Where medication is clinically appropriate it is explained in full: how it works, the benefit you can reasonably expect, the side effects, the monitoring involved and what happens when it stops. It is priced separately by the dispensing pharmacy, by medicine and dose.

Common questions

How much does a private weight loss clinic cost in London?

Across London, initial assessments generally range from £150 to £350, with medication charged separately by the pharmacy. Our initial consultation is £45, redeemable against your first order, and the full expected cost is confirmed before you commit.

Will I definitely be prescribed medication?

We assess your suitability first. Medication follows only where it is clinically appropriate and safe for you.

Do I have to travel to London?

No. Appointments are held by secure video consultation, wherever you are in the United Kingdom. The medication is dispensed by a GPhC-registered UK pharmacy partner to a UK address.

Is this available on the NHS?

NHS weight management support is available in some circumstances, subject to eligibility and local availability, usually through your GP. If you may be eligible, Kim will advise you.

How long does treatment last?

It depends on your starting point and how you respond. How and when you come off is discussed with you in advance, so it's planned rather than sudden.

What happens when I stop?

This is discussed with you in advance. Weight regain after stopping is common, which is why coming off is planned rather than left until the day.

Will I see the same clinician throughout?

Yes.
