Why skincare alone often isn't enough

Rosacea causes persistent redness, visible blood vessels and, for some people, bumps or sensitivity, most often across the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. It can look like ordinary redness or sensitive skin, which is why it is often treated with creams that were never going to fix it.

Because rosacea is an inflammatory condition rather than a cosmetic one, the starting point is a proper assessment, not a product recommendation. Where prescription treatment is appropriate, that comes first. Skincare is then chosen to support the skin around it, not to carry the whole job on its own.

Is rosacea the same as sensitive skin?

No. Sensitive skin reacts to products or the environment; rosacea is a chronic inflammatory condition of the skin's blood vessels. The two can look similar, which is why a proper assessment matters before choosing a treatment.

Can skincare alone treat rosacea?
